The Practice continues.
My wife and I have for some time now been moving toward a vegetarian life style. She has actually not eaten meat for several months now. I eat meat or chicken on rare occasion and both of us eat fish at least once a week.
I don’t know whether it is the absence of meat in our diet or the abundance of more vegetables, fruits, and high quality grains, nuts, and oils, I definitely feel a change for the better in my body and mind.
My emotional state is much more stable and my energy flows much more smoothly through my body. I have also noticed improved energy levels. Although this is of little concern to me, I have gained only a small portion of the weight that I lost during our fast a couple of months ago. My weight is back to what it was about 15 years ago.
My wife has even begun experimenting with elements of a raw vegan diet. While I very much appreciate it, and enjoy how it makes me feel, I can not see myself completely making that transition in the near future. It seems to me something that would best be done over a long period of time in order to allow the body to adjust to a new nutritional paradigm. Incidentally, learning how to derive all the nutrition necessary to remain healthy over a long period from a raw vegan diet is also not something that happens from one day to another.
As it has with my diet, the Lucid Living Practice has begun to affect aspects of my life that I had not expected it to. The sensitivity and clarity that it affords have brought me to see things in every aspect of my life in a new way. From food to relationships, to my own emotions and thoughts, I feel that it is slowly seeping into the marrow of my life. And I am grateful for it.
Goodnight,
Kikta
