With all the attention on the oil industry these days, I found this paper very revealing of the economics of scarcity that are pushed by certain interests, and how it is done. Of course I am unable to prove the legitimacy of the information provided here, but then again you can say that about anything you’ll find on CNN… Through my background in Russian studies (and I did go to school at the Mining Institute in St Petersburg, although for language studies only), I am familiar with stellar Russian engineering and put a lot of stock in their capabilities and more importantly, their integrity. So this piece has a lot of cred in my book. However, I must disclaim that it was posted on Rense, a site which is notorious for throwing in gratuitous anti Semitic overtones, which I do not aggree with. In spite of this, I would say there is a good amount of ‘guerrilla’ reporting that goes on Rense that is legitimate and has the right interest in mind (your interest, that is). In this case, you will notice in the title of the piece, that the energy industry’s nefarious agenda is tied to Zionism. Yet the article doesn’t really explain how. I’m able to look past this ridiculous tenet and discern some factual truth regarding the technical aspects of oil well replenishment. Written by someone who seemingly works in the field, as in, AT the oil field, and not in an office tower cubicle surrounded by other think tank yahoos.
